Keeping the Lodge's financial records accurate and accountable.

The Treasurer is one of the Lodge's elected officers. Under Elks rules, the Treasurer receives Lodge funds from the Secretary, pays properly approved Lodge bills, keeps an accurate record of receipts and disbursements, and provides financial records for review and reporting.

What Abby's role means at Scottsdale #2148

Abby's office is responsible for the financial recordkeeping and payment side of Lodge business. The Treasurer works with the Secretary, Exalted Ruler, Trustees and committee leaders so authorized Lodge funds are received, recorded and disbursed through the proper process.

Unless the Lodge By-Laws provide otherwise, Elks rules also place committee funds under the Treasurer's office, which helps keep Lodge and committee financial activity in one accountable system.

PaymentsPays approved Lodge bills through the required authorization process.

RecordsMaintains accurate receipts and disbursements for review and audit.
